Postscript 後記

When I was in Sweden, I have talked to the parents and players from different countries, and found out that almost all of the female players in different countries have the similar problems as we have in Taiwan. Girls have to play with boys because there’re not enough girls in different age level, or play in the girls team organized by different ages and skill levels players. I know some of the girls have to travel a long way in order to practice with the same age and skill levels girls. Even in Sweden, only a few years ago, girls’ team could only practice on the schedule when the pure male team or mixed team does not practice, of course the status changed, Sweden Women Team ranks number 2nd or 3rd in the world. The female players in Taiwan are not alone in the world.
在瑞典期間，我與來自不同的國家的父母和球員聊天，發現幾乎所有國家的女性球員都曾面對與我們在臺灣相似的問題。 女孩必須與男孩混隊打球，因為同一年齡層或同一技術水平沒有足够的女孩，或者必須留在由年齡和技術水準差距極大的女孩所組成的女子隊。 我也知道某些女球員必須長途跋涉只為了和同樣年齡和程序的女孩一起練球。 就在不久以前，瑞典的女子隊只能在男子隊或男女混合隊練完球後挑選練球時間，情況當然已改善，瑞典女子隊目前世界排名二三。 臺灣的女球員目前的境遇在世界上是不孤獨的。

Jente, the 16-year-old female goalie from Belgium played in the mixed team because there’re only 30 female ice hockey players in Belgium. She is a good goalie, but have no chance to play in the team to represent her country.
Jente，比利時的十六歲女守門員，一直和男球員一起打球，因為比利時只有30名女子球员。 她是一個好守門員，但是沒有機會代表她的國家打球。

We all agree that girls should play in the mixed team when starting hockey, to play against boys make them stronger and more aggressive. But sometimes the pure girls’ team will enhance the relationship, the relationship which is similar to fraternity. I asked Tiffany, she has no against to play with the current teammates, but she really missed the time when playing with Sabrina, Jenny, Mayoko and Kathy.
我們同意女孩在剛開始打曲棍球時應該和男孩子一起打球，她們才會更強悍和更積極。 但是完全由女孩組成的隊有時會使女孩之間的關係更加緊密，類似兄弟會裡男孩的關係。 我問過Tiffany，她對和目前隊友一起打球並不抗拒，但是她很想念與Sabrina、Jenny、Mayoko和Kathy一起打女子隊的那段日子。

Before the trip, I questioned myself if it is too early to let Tiffany attend the camp? After all, she is younger than average. The ones she met in Sweden are the best players of the age. Actually, many players in the camp are stronger than some of our best senior male players in TW. Within the 10 days, I saw her growth, courage, efforts and the love to hockey. A 14-year-old girl from hot Taiwan has no fear to face the shot from world top players. She set up her goals and tried her best to achieve the goals. I am proud of you, my girl!
在去瑞典之前，我問自己，是否太早讓Tiffany參加這麼高程度的訓練營？ 她終究比其他球員平均年齡小。 她在瑞典所面對的將是那個是年齡層最佳的球員。 事實上，訓練營的許多球員比臺灣的一些最好的成人男性球員還強。 在這10天之内，我看到了她的成長、勇氣、努力和對曲棍球的熱愛。 來自炎熱臺灣的一個十四歲女孩毫不恐懼的面對世界頂尖球員的射門。 她給自己設定了目標並且努力設法達成目標。 我以我的女兒自豪!

7/20 Leaving for Home! 回程

Tiffany stayed in the hotel with me after leaving hockey school. I took her walk around the downtown Landskrona after returning the rental car. Right after back to hotel from dinner, she entered all the address of her new friends into the contact book of her email account, and asked for opening a new account in Facebook.
離開曲棍球學校以後，Tiffany和我在旅館多待了一晚。在還回出租車以後，我帶她在Landskrona市中心附近散步。 吃完晚餐回到旅館之後，她急著在她的電子郵件聯絡人名單裡加入她新朋友的地址，並且請求在Facebook開一個新的帳戶來做為交流的平臺。

Although Tiffany told me she had no problem to wake up and ready for practice at school at 6:30AM every day, but I could not wake her up for breakfast till 9:00AM on 7/20 morning. She was too tired and refused to walk to the street corner with me to buy newspaper.
雖然Tiffany告诉我她在學校每天早上6:30起床練球完全沒有問題，但是在7/20早上，我一直到9:00還沒辦法叫她起來吃早餐。 她累到不肯和我走到街角買報紙。

We took the train to Copenhagen Airport, escorted by 4 Belgium National Team Hockey players. These young men attended Swish International Hockey School when they were young, and have come to Landskrona to assist the training for younger players since the past few years. Tiffany has exchanged the contact information and invited them to come to Taiwan someday.
我們由4個比利時國家曲棍球隊隊員陪同，搭火車到哥本哈根機場。 這些年輕人小時候曾在國際曲棍球學校受訓，過去幾年他們都會來Landskrona當助教，協助訓練小球員。 Tiffany和他們交換了聯絡方式並且邀請他們來臺灣。

When the airplane took off, and left North Europe, Tiffany cried to fall asleep. She promised to come back to Landskrona next year!

7/19 Lost in the Bronze Medal Game! 輸掉了決賽!

Surprisingly, Tiffany’s team lost in the bronze medal game! The team in the first place before semi-final, dropped to the last in the end!
令人吃驚地， Tiffany的隊在決賽輸了! 原本奪冠呼聲最高的隊，竟然最後墊底!

Tiffany was the first goalie on the ice in the final, and 4 goals into the net within 20 minutes. 2 goals were kicked in by Tiffany’s teammates. The save average dropped to 75%. There’s also some problems of the position of the other goalie. The final result of the game was 7 vs 2. Most of the girls were tired after 10 days practice, some were injured, and some of the players were traded before the game.
決賽時Tiffany是先發守門員，她在20分鐘内被進了4分。 2分是被自己的隊友踢進的。Save average下降到75%。 另一個守門員站的角度動作今天也有些問題。 比賽的結果是7比2。 大部份女球員在10天的訓練之後確實是累了，有些受傷了，同時為了平衡實力，某些球員在比賽前被轉換到別隊。

The gold medal game also surprised every one. The team used to be in the higher position before final lost the game with big score difference.

From the video I took daily, I can see the great improvement of these players.

It’s the time to say goodbye after the awarding ceremony. Tiffany took pictures with the new friends and hug with each others. She almost cried in the last, and asked me to leave the ice rink to prevent crying. Shealready missed each others right after leave.
頒獎後該是道別的時候。 Tiffany新朋友拍照留念並緊緊擁抱了所有人。 她差一點無法控制的流下眼淚，所以要求我趕快離開冰宮不想讓其他人看到她哭了。在才離別之後她已經開始想念大家了。

Despite the live over 20 million people in Taiwan, there is only one Ice Hall. Tiffany Hsu lucky because she happen to live in the same city as this rarity. Unfortunately, she only allowed to train on ice once a week.
儘管台灣擁有近兩千萬人口（不知是Tiffany或記者弄錯), 但卻只有一座冰宮. Tiffany覺得自己很幸運, 可以住在冰宮所在的城市-台北 ,可是她一週也只有一次的冰上練球機會.

Surprisingly, Tiffany's team fell to the last position in tournament. Girls are too tierd after 10 days practice, so am I. I will try to update the blog both in English and Chiness on my way home.
令人訝異的, Tiffany的隊決賽後成績居然墊底! 經過十天的訓練, 這些女孩都累了, 我也是! 我會盡量在回家的路上把所有的紀錄Post上網誌, 把進度趕上.

7/18 Lost Semi-Final! Will Play for Bronze Medal Tomorrow! 準決賽輸了!明天爭銅牌!

Tiffany’s team was the 1st place before semi-final, but surprisingly lost the game tonight and only has the chance to play for Bronze Medal tomorrow. Both of the goalies in her team were not in good condition tonight. The goalie who was first on missed one shot at the 29th second right after the first period started. The players didn’t play as well as previously either. Tiffany faced 13 shots in 20 min and there’s 2 goal against, save average is 84.6%. I didn’t count the last shot get into the net 20 seconds before the end of the game. Coach withdrew goalie and put 6 players on ice at that time. The final result is 3 vs 5.
準決賽前Tiffany的球隊原本積分是第一的，但令人驚訝是她们輸了今晚的比賽，所以明天只有爭銅牌的機會。她隊上的兩個守門員今晚狀況都不好。第一個上場的守門員在第一節開始之後29秒就失了第一分。外場球員也沒有發揮該有的實力。Tiffany在場上的20分鐘內對方有效射門13次，失兩分，平均守球率84.6 ％ 。我沒有把比賽結束前20秒的那一分算在她身上，因為當時教練撤守門，以6個球員搶分結果反而被得分。最終比分是3比5 。

Earlier today, coaches gave all the goalies written comments after a test. Coaches said Tiff is really fast and follow directions very well. The suggestions to her is to continuously work on skating which is the most important skill for a goalie and has to turn her head first so her body comes with her easier when she is coming over.
今天稍早，教練在測驗後給所有的守門員書面評估及意見。教練說，Tiff確實很快和她對球員及射門方向的防守反應也非常好。對她的建議是繼續加強對守門員最重要的溜冰技巧，並在要向前防守給壓力時先轉頭面對進攻球員及球的方向，這樣一來她的身體角度就會隨之轉方向面對進攻，更容易守住射門。

Tiffany asked me if she can come again next year, and she will definitely persuade more girls from TW come with her for the solid next time.
Tiffany問我，她明年能不能再來參加訓練，她說她一定會說服更多臺灣的女球員一起來接受紮實的訓練。

The interview was not on the newspaper today. Peter said that he will watch it for me and send the English translation to me right after see the interview on newspaper.
採訪沒有在今天的報紙刊出。Peter說，他會幫我注意，一旦採訪刊出他會立刻將英文翻譯寄給我。

U16 & U18 Asian Youth Tournament Cancelled! U16 和 U18的亞洲青年賽取消了!

Announcement on Hockey Hotline, U16 & U18 Asian Youth Tournament in Taipei was cancelled because of H1N1 in Asia. There's only HK team hsa no concerns and would like to come. Boys will be very disappointed about this! They are ready to compete with the players from other countries. But I don't understand, how come so many countries either have schedule conflicts or concerns about the flue and decided not to come right before the tournament?

冰球熱線網上公告, 原訂在台北舉行的U16 U18亞洲青年賽因新流感在亞洲蔓延, 只有香港隊覺得可以成行而取消了! 男孩们會很失望的, 他們原本已經磨拳擦掌, 準備要和別的國家的球員切磋球技了! 我不懂的是, 為什麼這麼多國家在比賽前決定有其他活動或擔心新流感而不來了?

7/17 Tiffany is the Queen! Tiffany 是女王!

Hockey Festival tonight! All the players in the camp and the coaches were split into 8 teams played 3 on 3 games tonight. The special guest, NHL player from Dallas Star #96, Fabian Brunnstorm also joined them to play on the game, of course he has been traded to different teams in different sessions. Brunnstorm had 2 assists and 1 goal when played against with Tiffany’s team, it is almost cannot stop him. It will be the unique experience and might be the only once for her to play with NHL player. Tiffany played really well, stopped most of the shots and won the 3 on 3 games for her team. After the games, the assistant coaches Pernila and Sara told Tiffany, “You are the queen tonight!”
今晚是曲棍球趣味賽！所有的球員和教練被分成8組打3對3的比賽。來自Dallas Star 96號的NHL球員Fabian Brunnstorm是今晚的特別來賓，也加入他們的比賽，當然他每一場比賽都被交易到不同的球隊。 Brunnstorm在和Tiffany的球隊比賽時2次助攻，一次射門得分，完全擋不住。和NHL球員一起打球對Tiffany將是獨特也可能是唯一一次的經驗。Tiffany今晚打得很好，反應很快，擋下了大部分射門，幫她的隊贏得了3對3的比賽。在比完賽後，助理教練Pernila和Sara告訴Tiffany， “你是今晚的女王！ ”

She had more cuts on her hands, but refused to use band-aid. She put tapes directly on the cuts, when she tore off the tapes it might create more damage to her hands. But she told me everyone did it and all of them screamed when removed the tapes. Silly!
她手上的傷口越來越多，但她不肯用OK 絆。她把膠布直接直接貼在傷口上，當她撕掉膠布時傷口可能又會撕裂一次。但她告訴我，每個人都是這樣處理傷口的，所以每次拿掉膠布時都會尖叫。真是一群傻瓜！

Girls are very close with each others after whole week stayed together. You can see all the stupid and funny actions on the rink. Dancing with equipments and skates when there’s music, goalies push each others for fun and strike others’ head with helmets. They will feel sad when have to leave for home on Sunday. Tiffany asked for camera and started taking photos with each others.
整整一個星期在一起後，女孩们都很熟很親近。在冰上你可以很多又好氣又好笑的行為。她们會穿著護具和冰刀隨著音樂一起跳舞，守門員開玩笑的互相推擠對方，帶著頭盔互相對撞。他們會感到難過時，當星期天要離開時，她們會難過捨不得彼此的。Tiffany已經向我拿了相機去拍照留念了。

7/16 Last Game to Play Before Semi-Final準決賽之前的最後一場比賽

Today is the last game before Semi-Final. SGS team played against Erika’s team. Tiffany’s friend, Delaney is in that team. I sat with Delayney’s mom and felt embarrassed to cheer up too much for Tiff when she stopped the puck. Tiffany didn’t play as well as last night, but she’s very lucky today. There’re 2 shots almost became scores and there’s another one which I suspected to be the score.
今天是準決賽之前的最後一場比賽。 SGS與Erika的隊對戰。 Tiffany的朋友， Delaney也在那隊。我與Delaney的媽媽坐在一起，當Tiff擋住球時實在不敢大聲叫好。 Tiffany打得沒有昨晚好，但是她今天非常幸運。 有2球差一點進，而且有另一球我懷疑根本進了又被她撈出來。

Tiffany was still the 2nd goalie on the ice, she told me that she chose not to be the first here. She stayed on the ice for18 min. Shot against is 18, lost 2 points, save average is 88.89%. One breakaway became a score, and the other is team work between 2 boys which Tiff believed that she should be able to stop it but didn’t.

More and more players injured. Either twisted on ankles, hurt the knees or hit by puck. Tiffany is one of the goalies still survive with no harm except some scrape on hands due to new glove and blocker. The result before semi-final is very confusing, each team either lost one or two games in the tournament. There will Hockey Carnival, 3 on 3 on the following day, no game of tournament.

Tiffany made lot of friends here. Everyone likes her. She is the youngest one, and the older players think that she is a funny girl. They sing and laugh together when taking shower. Playing basket ball and dancing as warm up. She is very happy here! I should ask her to keep in touch with the new friends.

A journalist came to the rink today and gave Tiffany an interview. Asked her about the current status and environment of hockey development in TW and wanted to know how she started playing hockey and goalie. I was not there during the interview, and not sure about what she said. It is a little scary, I am afraid that she will say she’s playing hockey because she can hit people in the game. The interview will be put on the newspaper on Sat. I definitely has to get one copy of that even though it might be in Swedish.
有一個記者今天到冰宮並採訪了Tiffany。 問她台灣目前曲棍球發展的現況和環境，也想知道她怎麼開始打曲棍球和守門員。 採訪期間，我不在現場，不知道她說了什麼。 我怕她會說她打曲棍球是因為她可以在比賽中砍人。 採訪將刊在星期六的報紙上。 我絕對會留一分報紙來了解一下，不過恐怕會是瑞典報。

Best Player of the Game on 7/15! 7/15比賽的最佳球員

Today is a sunny day in Landskrona. I did take some break and went to Ven, the small island outside of Landskrona with a player’s mom. The girls in the camp also have the opportunity to take some rest and went to the pool for relaxing.
今天在Landskrona是晴天。 我偷了一天懶和另一位球員的媽媽去Ven，Landskrona外海的小島。 女孩们也到游泳池休息放鬆了兩小時。

Tonight, SGS team played against Pernila Winberg’s team. Pernila is the top scorer of Sweden Senior National Women Team, she also played in the team. Tiffany was the 2nd goalie on the ice, she played from the 5:30 of the 2nd period (the game is 3 periods, 15min/15min/10min). The shooting was frequent and strong, almost 1 shot per min. Tiffany lost 1 point, and the save average today is 93.33%! The final result is 1 vs 0. SGS lost the game because “the” score! But Tiffany was rewarded as the best player of the game tonight! All the teammates cheered up for her when announcement. Actually, I think that it should be the best game I saw her playing here. She was so happy because of stopping Pernila’s shot for 3 times in 20 min.
今晚， SGS隊和Pernila Winberg的隊對戰。 Pernila是瑞典成人國家女子隊的得分王，她也下場比賽。 Tiffany是第2個上場的守門員，她在第2節開始的5分半上場比賽(比賽3節，分別為15分/15分/10分)。 射門又頻繁又強，差不多每分鐘一次。Tiffany失了1分，但是今天的save average是93.33%! 最終比分是1比0。 SGS输掉了比賽，因為那一分! 但是Tiffany今晚被選為當場比賽的最佳球員! 所有隊友聽到宣布都為她歡呼!事實上，我認為今天應該是我在這裡看到她打最好的一場比賽。 雖然輸球但她很開心，因為在20 分鐘裡她擋住Pernila的三次射門。

She had a new record! Damage her stick in 7 days this time! It was almost brand new when arrived in Sweden. There’s a very long split and some indentation on the stick due to the practice for the week!
她創了一個新纪錄! 在7天之內把她的竿子打裂! 我们剛到瑞典時，竿子幾乎是全新的。 竿身上有很長的裂痕和缺口，這都是這星期的練習和比賽造成的!

Swish Select Team Tournament Started on 7/14 Swish 分隊比賽自7/14開始

It is the first day of Swish Select Team Tournament. Boys also joined today. Girls and boys are mixed up and 4 assistant coaches selected from the players to organize their teams. Tiffany is in Sara Grahn (Sweden Senior National Team Goalie) Swish Select Team and stays with most of her old teammates. 2 Norway Senior National Women Team players, 1 Sweden Senior National Women Team player, 1 Sweden U18 National Women Team player and 1 Hungarian National Women Team Player are with her and other girls and 2 boys in the same team.
今天是分隊比賽的第一天。 男球員也加入了。 4位助理教練從所有女孩和男孩裏挑選組成他們的隊。 Tiffany在Sara Grahn (瑞典成人女子國家隊守門員)挑選的名單裏和和大部份她原來的隊友一起。 隊裏有2個挪威成人女子國家隊球員、1個瑞典成人女子國家隊球員、1個瑞典U18全國女子國家隊球員和1個匈牙利女子國家隊球員還有其他女孩和2個男孩。

SGS team played against with a team mainly organized by boys. Some of the older boys are so fast and rough, they like body check a lot. But these girls are so tough and never give up. Tiffany played from the 2nd half of the game, lost 2 points, and there’re other 2 lucky shots for goalie. Even though she is the youngest, and the skills is not that good as other goalie, she still has the support from teammates. They protected her well. The final result is 5vs 3. SGS team won. Tiffany’s save average tonight is 85.7%.
與SGS隊對戰的是主要為男球員組成的隊。 某些較年長的男孩及助理教練又快打得又粗暴，他們特別喜歡body check。 但是這些女孩很強悍從未放棄。 Tiffany在比賽的第2節一半上場，失了2分，並且有兩球是守門員的運氣沒被得分。 即使她是最小而且技巧比其他守門員差，隊友仍然全力支持她。 他們把守門員保護得很好。 最終成绩是5vs 3，SGS隊贏了。 Tiffany今晚的防守率是85.7%。

After the game when Tiffany in shower with other girls, Delaney (fm US) told me that Tiff did her homework everyday since arrived here. I am so surprise! I told her to focus on the hockey in the camp, I will talk to her teacher if she cannot finish her homework. Although she is my daughter, I would still have to say she is a strange kid. Push herself too much!
比賽後，當Tiffany與其他女孩沖澡時， Delaney (來自美國的隊友)告訴我Tiff從到這裡後每天都寫她的暑假作業。 我太吃驚了! 我告訴過她既然來這裡就專心在曲棍球，如果她的暑假作業沒寫完，我會和她的老師溝通。 雖然她是我的女兒，我還是要說她真是一個奇怪的孩子。 逼自己太緊了!

If I do my best all the time, there is no time to regret!如果我所有時間都全力以赴，我就不會有時間後悔!

Even though it is the 2nd time watching the goalie training, I still feel astonished. Coaches explained the movement (including angles and positions) of each stand, assistant coach demo for the young goalies, then spread out to practice. Coach even explained to the girls what should be the best angel and position when facing the shots from different direction, so there will be less possibilities for the rebound.
看了兩次守門員訓練，我還是很感動! 教練在練習前先解釋每站所面對的假設情況，及需要應對的動作及站的角度。助理教練接著做示範。教練甚至解釋給她们聽在面對不同方向的射門時該站在哪個位置及角度才會把rebound的機率降低。

Tiffany looked slower today. She told me she’s so tired! Coach said that she is about 3 years younger than others, and has never taken this kind of training before, but she’s well, not lazy at all! She got bruiser on the shoulder, hit by a puck in practice. It has never happened before! Especially after we upgraded her shoulder pads.
Tiffany今天似乎反應較慢。 她告訴我她好累! 教練說怪不得她，她比其他球員平均年齡小三歲，也沒有受過這樣的訓練，表現算不錯，她也從來都不會偷懶。她練習時肩膀擋了一球淤血了，這是過去從未在練習時發生的事，尤其是換了好的護胸後。

I finally rent a car today! Unfortunately, it is the car with stick! I have never driven the car with stick for the past 20 years! Stopped twice on the way to the rink! So embarrassed!
我終於租車了! 很不幸的只有手排車可租! 我已經二十年沒碰過手排車了，去冰宮的路上熄火兩次，好糗!

All the girls improved so much! The game tonight is even rougher than yesterday. Tiffany was on ice for 23 min, about 8 min are in power play, 4 on 5 or 4 on 6! She lost 2 points tonight, but the save average is even higher than the first day, 88.8%. She admitted that the 1st goal was her mistake, but too many players blocked her sight and she could not see the 2nd shooting. The player who scored is the top scorer of Sweden Nation Team! Final score is 3 vs 3.
晚上的比賽Tiffany又下場了。所有的球員都比第一天強! 今天的比賽比昨天還要激烈! Tiffany下場二十三分鐘，大約有八分鐘是對方的power play，四打五或四打六! 她失了兩分，但防守率高於第一天，88.8%。 她承認第一球是她失誤，但第二球有太多球員擋住她的視線，她根本沒看到射門! 第二球得分的是助教，瑞典國家代表隊的得分王! 最終比分三平!

Tight training schedule

Tiffany has complained about me for missing her goalie practice yesterday. I promised that I will be there today. I just found out yesterday, Norway player's mom stayed in the same hotel with me, so I have a ride today.
昨天,Tiffany怪我錯過她的訓練課程,我答應她今天不會錯過了;因為挪威球員的媽媽和我住同一家飯店,所以今天可以搭便車,不用再找公車站牌了。

The training schedule is very tight and the volume is so heavy! Following is the schedule for yesterday and today.
今天的訓練課程和昨天一樣,時間緊湊,份量也重;
7:15 - 8:00 Breakfast早餐
9:00 - 10:15 Ice (Group 1)分組上冰
10:45 - 11:45 Off-Ice 1 (體能訓練,守門員可以提早吃午餐)
12:15 - 12:45 Lunch午餐
12:00 - 13:00 Goalies on Ice守門員上冰
13:15 - 14:30 Ice (Group 1) 分組上冰
15:15 - 16:15 Off-Ice 2 (體能訓練)
17:00 – Dinner晚餐
19:00 - 20:30 Game比賽

Goalie will have at least 3 and a half hours to 5 hours on ice daily.
守門員每天至少有3.5-5小時在冰上

I was impressed about the goalie training today. 6-7 coaches and assist coaches for 9 goalies. Tiffany was grouped together with the assist coach who's the goalie of Sweden National Women Team. She is so good, the movement is excellent. I have taped Tiffany's movement after adjusted and the assist coach's movement for Tiffany's refreshes in the future.
今天的守門員訓練,令人印象深刻,9個守門員搭配6-7個教練和助理教練, Tiffany和瑞典國家女子代表隊的守門員在一組,這個守門員亦兼任助理教練,非常優秀,動作漂亮極了。我錄了一些調整後的Tiffany的動作,也有部分是助理教練的動作,日後可作為Tiffany複習和參考之用

The game today is even better than last night! Players skate faster and play rougher and aggressive. I would have to say it is one of the best games I have ever seen. I have never thought girls can play like this. Tiffany's team win again, 5 vs 2. Because there's 4 goalies in Tiffany's group, Tiffany didn't play tonight, she got some rest as her wishes.
今天的比賽比昨晚的更精釆。相較於昨天,今天球員們的速度更快、更衝撞、更積極,這是我看過最精釆的比賽之一,無法想像女孩子打曲棍球也可以打得這麼棒。Tiffany那一隊有四個守門員,所以今天Tiffany輪空, 可以如願以償地休息;比賽結果,Tiffany的那一隊以5:2勝出。

Real training started fm 7/11. I arrived in the ice rink late because I had problem of finding bus station and missed the schedule. Tiffany finished the morning ice, 1st off-ice, and goalie training when I arrived. Tiffany told me the off-ice training is so heavy, she needs to be a superwoman to finish everything! But she obviously making new friends and pushed me to leave earlier with her dirty clothes. Tricky girl, she's happy because she can stop the off-ice earlier than others due to the goalie training.7/11
正式訓練開始。我因為找不到公車站牌，錯過了Tiffany早上的練習和中午的守門員課程。Tiffany告訴我她會被體能練習操死。不過她已交了新朋友，把她的髒衣服交給我後就急著催我離開。她因為守門員的訓練所以早上的體能可以做一半先離開而樂不可支。

I went back later in the evening in order to watch her first game. The camp organizers are very seriously about the game. Coahes wore suites, the players' # and names were announced officialy, and there will be announcement every time when there's goal in or players change. It was a 3 periods game, every period lasts for 15 min. Tiffany was on the ice in the 2nd period. She lost 3 points, 1 for breakaway, 2 for rebounced. Save average is about 81.7% (roughly estimated). The final result is 6 vs 5, Tiffany won the first game here. Very good start to play with these olders players, at least 7-8 players are in the national team. She's smiling after the game because she knew that she did well! I took pictures and vedio of the practice and the game but need to figure out the easiest solution to upload to the blog.
我傍晚再回冰宮看她的第一場比賽。所有人都很認真的把這當作是正式比賽。兩隊教練穿西裝打領帶，記錄台宣佈所有球員的背號及名字，換守門時也會正式廣播。這是三節每節十五分鐘的比賽。Tiffany第二節才上場，失三分，一分是breakaway，兩分是rebound，防守率粗略估算大概是81.7%。最終比分6 vs 5，贏了! 還不錯，球員裡最少有七到八個分別來自瑞典，挪威及匈牙利國家代表隊的球員。比完賽後她因為知道自己表現不錯笑了。

One thing attracted my notice, she did lots of save by using her gloves which used to be one of her weakness. Her abilitiy to stop rebounced is also improved. It should be good for her to practice with the stronger and more senior players.
我注意到她很多球用手套接住，而這一向是她的弱點之一，防守rebound的能力也增強了。和較強的隊友和對手打球練習對她是好的。

Tiffany said, "Some of the shooting are so strong, even stronger than the shot from Tommy." "I was afriad in the beginnig, they are so fast, so big and strong, but I am ok when start playing. Playing hockey is my regular activities." "I will be dying because of off-ice training! Why Tommy put me into this situation?????"
Tiffany說：「有些女孩射門超強，比Tommy教練還強!」「我一開始會怕，她们都那麼快，又大隻又厲害，可是我一開始打球就好了，打Hockey是我日常活動!」「Tommy幹嘛叫我來這裡啊﹖我會被體能訓練操死!!!!!」

Arrive in Swish Women Elite Camp

After long flight, we finally arrived. The drive from Copenhagen Airport to Landskrona took only 30 min. Landskrona is a very small town, smaller than I previously thought. I heard the weather last week was really good, but unfortunately, it started to rain. I heard the weather in summer here is very unpredictable, hope it will come better.
經過漫長的飛行,我們終於抵達目的地了。從Copenhagen(哥本哈根)到Landskrona只需30分鐘車程。Landskrona是一個比我預期的還要小的小鎮。聽說上星期的天氣不錯,但是我們來了之後就開始下雨;據說這裡夏天的天氣如同後母的臉孔,希望老天爺的心情會好一些。

Because our flight arrived earlier, Tiffany has to check into the hotel with me in the morning. She could not believe Hotel Oresund is the biggest hotel in town. I would have to say, I have never slept on such small bed ever since I graduated from college. But the overall condition of the hotel is acceptable except the internet connection. I could not access to the free wireless in hotel till now because my laptop is a new one (more than 1 year old). I will try again otherwise I could not upload the pic of the camp till back to TW.
因為我們比預定的時間還要早到,所以我必須帶著Tiffany先到旅館。Tiffany無法相信這家旅館-- Hotel Oresund--是全鎮最大的;老實說,自從我大學畢業之後,還没睡過這麼小的床舖,但整體而言,除了上網有些問題外,其餘的尚可接受;因為我的NB規格在這裡算是新的（即使在台灣已使用一年了）,所以直到現在還無法使用旅館內的無線網路上網,我會再努力試試,否則無法上傳訓練營的相片。

Tiffany was so nervous when arrived in the camp, no smiling, looked miserable and needed my translation for all the conversation. I forced her to talk to other girls and decided which bed she will take. She stayed with other 8 Swedish girls in one room, and impressed about the logo of all NHL team shows on the bedsheets of one of her roommates. The camp organizer, Peter, seems to be a little worried about Tiffany in the beginning. He came to us and told us that everything will be fine. He also asked about Tommy, Tiffany's coach.
到訓練營報到時, Tiffany似乎有些緊張,没有笑容,一副楚楚可憐的樣子,還得要我幫忙翻譯;我要Tiffany主動和其他女孩說說話,並決定她要睡那張床舖; Tiffany和8個瑞典女孩住同一間房間,她的室友之一的床單上全部都是NHL球隊的隊徽,令人印象深刻；這個訓練營的主事者--Peter,剛開始似乎有點擔心Tiffany, Peter對我們說一切都會順利的,也詢問了關於Tommy教練的近況。

Everything turned different on the free skating session, Tiffany looked good on the ice, very skillful and aggressive. Cannot tell that she is only a 14 years old girl from the hot and humid Asian county. She made her first friend in the camp with an American girl, non of them know what to do when other girls chatting in Swidish. But I would say all the girls in the camp are friendly and feel curiously about the Taiwanese little girl.
Tiffany無法改變這裡的天氣,但她變換自己的心境。開始上冰試溜之後,一切都變得不一樣了;她在冰上的技巧和積極的態度,看起來相當不錯,無法相信她是唯一一個14歲女孩,一個從亞洲濕熱國家來的女孩。Tiffany在這個訓練營結交的第一個朋友,是一個美國女孩,當其他女孩用瑞典話交談時,她們倆就不知要做啥?儘管如此,訓練營裡的每個女孩,對Tiffany友善又好奇。

Right after the game on free ice session, Peter came to me and said that Tiffany surprised him. She performed really well, and very competitive with other goalies. She is a good goalie and cannot tell she was borne in 95’ out there. I think Tiffany knows it very well, I saw her happy smile on the face after the game.
上完冰之後, Peter對我說,他對Tiffany感到驚訝,「Tiffany表現得相當好,不比其他守門員差,她是一個優秀的守門員,看不出來她是1995年出生的」;我看到Tiffany臉上的笑容,她知道自己的表現很好。

Leave for Sweden

Tiffany and I are ready to leave for airport. It will be a more-than-15-hour flight from Taipei to Copenhagen excludes 2 hours transfer time in Bangkok. Father of Pernilla, Sweden Women National Team player will meet us in Copenhagen airport and take us to Landskrona, Sweden. Pernilla is the youngest player in the world to meet 100 national team games, bronze medalist world champions 2005, 2007, and 2006 Olympic silver medalist. Tiffany is so exciting.
Tiffany和我準備前往機場,從台北到Copenhagen(哥本哈根)至少需要15小時飛行時間,不含在Bangkok(曼谷)轉機的2小時。一個瑞典女子國家代表隊球員--Pernilla的父親,會在Copenhagen(哥本哈根)機場和我們碰面,然後帶我們到目的地--瑞典的Landskrona; Pernilla是當今世上經歷100場國家代表隊賽事中最年輕的球員,曾獲得2005、2007年世界盃銅牌(季軍或第三名)和2006年Olympic(奧林匹克)的銀牌(亞軍或第二名);對於將要面臨到的, Tiffany顯得相當興奮。

I will try to update the blog daily for the status in Sweden. It would be a great experience for Tiffany.
對Tiffany而言,到瑞典參加訓練營是很好的經驗,我會試著每天在部落格貼上最新的狀況。

Good news for Chris, he was selected for TW U16 national team official team roster. Wish he can improve a lot after back from Canada, and ready for the IIHF Aisan Youth Challenge Tournament in Taipei on 8/4-8/9.
有關於Chris的好消息,他被列入台灣(中華民國)U16國家代表隊的正式名單；希望Chris從加拿大回來後能更進步,也為8/4-8/9在台北舉辦的IIHF亞洲青年挑戰盃作好準備。

Talking to the parents of other players, almost every one called, no matter asking for approval of new skates or just say hello. But we have not heard anything from my dearest son yet.
和一些球員的家長談論後才發現,大部分去加拿大訓練營的球員都曾打電話回家,不管是買新的冰刀鞋或僅僅問個好,而我最親愛的孩子--Chris就是没消息。

Summer 2009 - Hockey Season!

My son, Chris has left for PEI, Canada with his coach and other players last week. He will attend 2 weeks hockey camp there. Wish to see him improve to other level and move to be a more matured player afater the training.

I will take my daughter, Tiffany to Sweden for the Swish Women Elite Camp. Tiffany is nervous, not only because she will stay in the hockey school by herself and communicate with English only, but also because she will be the youngest player in the camp,some of the girls in the program are the players or candidates of Sweden national team. The camp is strongly recommend by her coach and wish that she will be competitive when Taiwan is going to organize a girls team. We will leave on 7/9/09 (Thursday).

I would have to say, it is really a big hockey season, summer in 2009!
